Florida: In a tragic accident in downtown Fort Lauderdale, one person lost their life and two others sustained injuries when a crane collapsed onto a bridge over the New River. The incident occurred, causing significant damage to the bridge structure.
According to reports, the two drivers of vehicles involved in the accident survived, but unfortunately, someone who was under the bridge at the time of the incident was killed. Witnesses described the terrifying scene as the crane fell, with one witness mentioning that it appeared to break upon impact with the bridge.
The aftermath of the accident also revealed that a portion of the crane remained near the construction site, while another part struck a Tesla before bouncing and hitting a van.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crane collapse and assessing the extent of the damage to the bridge. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of strict safety measures in construction sites to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
