Chhattisgarh Assembly Election: As the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections progress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, emphasizing the significance of the electoral process and encouraging citizens to participate actively in shaping the democratic future of the state.
“Today is the second and last round of voting in the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections,” announced Prime Minister Modi, highlighting the critical juncture in the electoral journey. The elections, conducted in two phases on 7th November and 17th November 2023, play a pivotal role in determining the composition of the 90-member Legislative Assembly in the state.
Expressing the importance of citizen engagement, Prime Minister Modi issued a heartfelt request to all voters. “He urged all voters to participate in the electoral process, emphasizing that each vote holds significant value for the democratic principles we uphold,” he stated. His words underscore the foundational principle that every individual’s participation in the electoral process contributes to the vibrancy and strength of the democratic fabric.
“The two-phase election process in Chhattisgarh allows for a comprehensive and inclusive representation of the diverse voices and opinions across the state. The democratic exercise is not only a constitutional responsibility but also a collective opportunity for citizens to influence the course of governance and contribute to the development and progress of their region”.
“The results of the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections are eagerly awaited and are slated to be announced on 3 December 2023. As the nation awaits the outcome, the electoral process serves as a reminder of the democratic values that form the cornerstone of the Indian political system”.
The Prime Minister’s call to action resonates with the broader theme of civic duty, emphasizing that the power to shape the future lies in the hands of the people. By participating in the electoral process, citizens actively contribute to the democratic ideals of representation, accountability, and governance.
