Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Minister of State for PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, along with Shri G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Culture, Tourism and the Development of the North Eastern Region, and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, inaugurated the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jammu. This temple is the sixth in the country and the first in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Jitendra Singh remarked during the event that the creation of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jammu is a manifestation of India’s concept and a celebration of India’s ‘Unity in Diversity’.
The first temple in Jammu and Kashmir and sixth in India, according to Dr. Jitendra Singh, will lead to Jammu becoming the foremost destination for religious tourism in India.
Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted that the inauguration of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Jammu on 8th June 2023, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, marks a significant milestone in Jammu’s development journey.
Dr. Jitendra Singh pointed out that the unification of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi spans from the East to the West, and from the North to the South. The ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam’ event in Varanasi and the ‘Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple’ in Jammu are prime examples of this initiative. The aim is to celebrate, reaffirm, and discover the ancient connections between Tamil Nadu and Kashi, two of the country’s most significant and historic educational centers.
G. Kishan Reddy stated in his address that the construction of the ‘Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple’ in Jammu is further evidence that Kashmir and Kanyakumari are united. The Minister added that PM Narendra Modi is reviving the ancient civilization.
Sh. Lieutenant Governor of J&K. Manoj Sinha stated that there is a quicker advancement in the economy and revival of culture in Amrit Kaal in J&K, all under the direction of PM Narendra Modi. Sh. is witnessing new heights of glory, divinity and development in its eternal journey as a Union Territory. Sinha included.
