Colin de Grandhomme is an all-rounder who bats in the middle order and bowls medium-fast. He made his international debut in November 2016 and is currently a regular in the Black Caps side.

Colin de Grandhomme was born in Zimbabwe in 1986. He made his first-class debut for Matabeleland in 2007, and played for the Zimbabwean national team from 2010 to 2016. De Grandhomme made his Test debut for New Zealand in the first Test of the Bangladesh tour, and scored a quickfire 52 in the first innings. He then took 4/78 in the second innings as New Zealand completed a 2-0 series win.

De Grandhomme continued his good form in the home series against India in late 2017, scoring 131 runs at an average of 43.66 and a strike rate of 150.00 in three innings. De Grandhomme was then selected for the England tour in early 2018. He played in all three Tests, but failed to make a significant impact, scoring just 83 runs at an average of 27.66.
