Damien Martyn is a cricketing superstar you need to know about. He is one of the most well-known and successful players in the sport, and has achieved great things both in Australia and internationally.

Damien Martyn was born on October 21, 1971, in the town of Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. A prodigious talent, Damien started playing cricket at the age of four, and showed early signs of being something special.
He made his first-class debut for New South Wales at the age of 17, and was soon selected for the Australian Test team. Damien was an all-rounder, capable of batting in the middle order and bowling medium-pace. He was also a brilliant fielder, and was often used as a “second slip” by Australian captain Steve Waugh.
