Daren Ganga is a cricketer who needs no introduction to the cricketing world. Widely acclaimed as one of the best opening batsmen to have come out of the West Indies, Ganga has carved a niche for himself in the sport with his sheer talent and exemplary skills.
1. Daren Ganga: A brief biography
Daren Ganga was born in Trinidad on December 12, 1979. He is a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper.
Ganga made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 1998/99, and his List A debut the following season. He played for Trinidad and Tobago in the Stanford 20/20 tournament in 2002 and 2004.
Ganga was selected in the West Indies Test squad for the tour of England in 2004, but did not play. He made his Test debut against Australia at the Gabba in December 2004.
Ganga played in the first two Tests of the series, but was dropped for the third Test after making scores of 0, 9 and 0. He was then left out of the Test squad for the tour of Sri Lanka later in 2004.
Ganga was recalled to the Test squad for the home series against Sri Lanka in 2005, and played in the first two Tests. He was then dropped from the Test squad, and has not played Test cricket since.
Ganga has played in one One Day International, against Bangladesh in 2006.
Ganga has played for Trinidad and Tobago in the Champions League T20 tournament in 2009 and 2010.

Daren Ganga was born in Trinidad and Tobago on October 21, 1979. He is a family man who is married to Natasha and they have two children. Ganga is a professional cricketer who has represented the West Indies cricket team. He made his debut in Test cricket on January 10, 2001 against Australia. Ganga is a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper.

Daren Ganga was born on November 1, 1979, in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago. He is a professional cricketer who has played for the Trinidad and Tobago national cricket team and the Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Ganga made his first-class cricket debut in February 1998, and his One Day International debut in December 2000. He played in the 2007 Cricket World Cup and was a member of the team that won the 2010 Champions League Twenty20.
Ganga is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-spin bowler. He has scored over 5,000 runs in first-class cricket, and taken over 200 wickets. He is the first player from Trinidad and Tobago to score 10,000 runs in first-class cricket.

– He made his debut for the West Indies in November 1998, and played his final match in November 2008.
– Ganga is best known for his performances during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, where he was the team’s top scorer with 342 runs.
– He also played in the 2007 and 2011 tournaments, and finished as the team’s second-highest run scorer in both editions.
– Ganga was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2004.

Daren Ganga is a former West Indian cricketer who played international cricket from 1998 to 2007. He is most notable for his career in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he was one of the first players signed up and played for the Rajasthan Royals from 2008 to 2013.
Ganga was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in November 1998 against Zimbabwe and his Test debut in January 1999 against Australia. He played 66 ODIs and 10 Tests, scoring 1,722 and 849 runs respectively.
Ganga was part of the West Indian team which won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2004. He was also the captain of the West Indies A side which toured England in 2006.
Ganga is now a commentator and analyst for the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
6. Daren Ganga: Achievements
Daren Ganga has represented Trinidad and Tobago in international cricket for over fifteen years. He is one of the most successful players in the country’s history and has a long list of achievements to his name.
Ganga was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2002, and was also named the West Indies’ Cricketer of the Year in the same year. He was the first player from Trinidad and Tobago to receive either award.
Ganga is the most capped player in the history of Trinidad and Tobago cricket. He has played in over 160 international matches, including 36 Tests and 126 One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Ganga has scored over 7000 runs in international cricket, including two centuries and 28 half-centuries. He has also taken over 100 wickets in international cricket, with his best bowling figures of 5/32.
Ganga is considered to be one of the best fielders in the West Indies, and has won several awards for his fielding excellence. He was the West Indies’ fielder of the year in 2002 and 2004, and was also named in the ICC’s team of the year in 2002.
