Greg Blewett is a former Australian cricketer who played for the South Australian Redbacks and the Australian national cricket team. He is currently a cricket commentator and coach. In this article, we will take a look at his cricketing career and find out what he is up to nowadays.
1. Greg Blewett: A brief biography
Greg Blewett was born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1971. He attended St Peter’s College, where he was a talented cricketer, and then the University of Adelaide, where he studied law. Blewett made his first-class cricket debut for South Australia in 1990 and his Test cricket debut for Australia in 1992. He was a part of the Australian team that won the World Cup in 1999 and played in 56 Tests and 116 One Day Internationals.
Blewett retired from all forms of cricket in 2003 and has since worked as a cricket commentator and coach. He is currently the head coach of the South Australian men’s team.

Greg Blewett was a family man. He was married to his wife, Lynn, for over 30 years and they had two children, a son and a daughter. Greg was a hard worker and he always put his family first. Greg Blewett had an illustrious domestic cricket career, playing first-class cricket for South Australia and then for Tasmania. He is the only player to score a century in each of the Sheffield Shield, Ford Ranger Cup and KFC Twenty20 Big Bash competitions.
Blewett made his first-class debut for South Australia in 1992 and scored centuries in each of his first three matches. He played for South Australia until 2004, when he moved to Tasmania.
In Tasmania, Blewett continued to score centuries, including a record-breaking 267 not out against Victoria in 2007. He also played a key role in the Tasmanian side’s victory in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash competition in 2006-07.
Blewett retired from first-class cricket in 2009, but continued to play Twenty20 cricket. He played his final match for Tasmania in 2012.
Greg Blewett was a fine domestic cricketer, scoring centuries in each of the Sheffield Shield, Ford Ranger Cup and KFC Twenty20 Big Bash competitions. He was a key player for Tasmania in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash competition, and was also the first player to score a century in each of the Sheffield Shield, Ford Ranger Cup and KFC Twenty20 Big Bash competitions.
