In February 2016, Tillekeratne was named in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2016 Asia Cup. He made his Twenty20 International debut against United Arab Emirates on 27 February 2016.

Hashan Tillekeratne is a Sri Lankan cricketer who played in the IPL for the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler.

Tillekeratne made his first-class debut for Sri Lanka A in November 2000. He played his first IPL game in 2008 for the Kolkata Knight Riders. He was part of the Rajasthan Royals team that won the IPL in 2008.

Tillekeratne played in the IPL for six seasons in total. He scored 416 runs in 27 innings at an average of 15.52, with a high score of 49. He took 10 wickets at an average of 34.50, with a best of 3/21.
