Farhan Akhtar, the renowned actor, producer, director, and writer, has left an indelible mark on the film industry with his remarkable portrayals. Throughout his career, he has delivered performances that are unforgettable. From films like ‘Rock On,’ ‘Dil Dhadakne Do,’ to ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,’ Farhan’s talent knows no bounds. One film that stands out in this list is ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,’ which recently marked its 10th anniversary.
In ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,’ Farhan flawlessly portrayed the character of the Indian sports legend, Milkha Singh. Released a decade ago, the film depicted the inspiring journey of Milkha Singh, who achieved great success as an athlete. He is the sole Indian athlete to win a gold medal in the 400 meters at the Commonwealth Games. Additionally, he clinched gold medals in the 1958 and 1962 Asian Games.
On the film’s 10th anniversary, Farhan Akhtar took to social media to express his gratitude. He shared glimpses of his character’s various phases on screen and wrote in the caption, “It has been 10 years since the release of this film, which holds immense significance in my career and my life. And, it seems it holds a special place in your hearts as well. Thank you, once again, from the bottom of my heart to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for making me a part of this film.”
‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ received two prestigious accolades at the 61st National Film Awards. Alongside Farhan, the film featured talented actors like Divya Dutta, Pawan Singh, Nawab Shah, Prakash Raj, and Sonam Kapoor. However, it was Farhan’s compelling performance that truly stole the spotlight.
Farhan Akhtar’s portrayal of Milkha Singh in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ showcased his dedication and versatility as an actor. His ability to bring characters to life on screen is commendable, and his performance in this film remains etched in the memories of audiences.
