Ganeshotsav, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a 10-day-long festival that culminates on Anant Chaturdashi. This year it will be observed from September 1 to September 10.

The festive season in India has begun and knocking on our doors is the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi 2022.The festival will be observed on August 31, 2022. It usually falls in the month of August or September.
Ganeshotsav, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a 10-day-long festival that culminates on Anant Chaturdashi. The last day of the festival is Ganesh Visarjan.

Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai
The Siddhivinayak temple is one of the most popular Ganesh temples in Mumbai and is visited by celebs and dignitaries, including Apple CEO, Tim Cook, who reportedly began his India tour with a visit to the temple. If one truly wishes something, it will be granted, as the God here is also called Navasacha Ganpati.
Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple, Pune
This 130-year-old temple, located in Pune, draws thousands of devotees. Shrimant Dagadusheth Halwai, a trader and sweet maker from Nandgaon, and his wife Laxmibai were settled in Pune, according to history.”Way back when they lost their only son to the plague epidemic, the deity of Lord Ganesha was incepted by Shri Dagdusheth Halwai and his wife Lakshmibai,” reads the temple’s website. Not only Dagdusheth’s family but the entire neighborhood celebrates the Ganpati festival with deep faith and enthusiasm every year. Some reports claim that the famous leader Lokmanya Tilak started the Ganesh festival here.
Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple, Jaipur
This temple, built in 1761, has more than 250 years of history. One of the ancient temples of Jaipur, it is surrounded by forts and hills.The Ganesha idol is believed to be around 500 years old and was brought from Udaipur, as per reports.Devotees worship a Shiva lingam on Mahashivratri in the temple.The Ganesha idol whose trunk is rightwards is coloured sindoor.
Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple, Chennai
This is an iconic Ganesha temple located in Besant Nagar in the Tamil Nadu capital of Chennai.The temple conducts music programmes and grand celebrations happen during Ganesh Chaturthi every year. The temple often holds pujas and takes up social activities like feeding the poor.
Kalamassery Mahaganapathy Temple, Kerala
The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Subramanian, the Navagrahas, Shiva, Parvathi, Rama, and other Hindu Gods. N Ragunatha Menon, a prominent and pious person, built the temple in the 1980s in the town of Kalamassery. On the first day of the Karkkidakom month of the Malayalam calendar, the temple also organises Aanayoottu. Every four years, devotees refer to elephants as Lord Ganesha’s incarnation during Gajapuja.
