As the wedding festivities of Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha kick off in the picturesque city of Udaipur, Rajasthan, love is undoubtedly in the air. Haldi and Sangeet Extravaganza
On September 23, the couple embraced tradition as they celebrated their haldi and sangeet ceremonies. The vibrant festivities were filled with joy, laughter, and the melodious tunes of Bollywood’s iconic 90s music, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and romance.
The Grand Day Arrives
September 24, the much-awaited wedding day, promises a series of exciting events and rituals that will culminate in the union of Parineeti and Raghav as husband and wife.
Sehra Bandi and Chooda Ceremony
At 1 pm, the attention will turn to The Taj Lake Palace, where Raghav Chadha’s sehra bandi, a traditional pre-wedding ritual, will take place. Simultaneously, at The Leela Palace, Parineeti’s chooda ceremony, which involves the bride’s maternal uncle gifting her a set of red and white bangles, will be held. These customs are cherished elements of Indian weddings, steeped in cultural significance.
The Boat Procession
Around 2:30 p.m., a spectacular boat procession will set sail, making its way to the nearby Hotel Leela. The procession’s decorations will offer glimpses of the rich Mewar tradition, showcasing the grandeur and heritage of Rajasthan.
The Sacred Pheras
Approximately at 4 pm, the most significant moment of the day will arrive—the saath pheras. Parineeti and Raghav will take their wedding vows, promising to stand by each other through the journey of life. It’s a poignant and emotional part of any Indian wedding ceremony.
The Grand Wedding Bash
As the sun sets, a grand wedding bash awaits at The Leela Palace. The evening will be filled with celebrations, dancing, and heartfelt toasts to the newlyweds, marking the beginning of their beautiful journey together.
Distinguished Guests
The wedding is set to host a galaxy of stars and influential figures. Celebrities like Sania Mirza, Harbhajan Singh, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and Aditya Thackeray are expected to grace the occasion. Notably, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have already arrived in Udaipur to join in the festivities.
