Although Facebook is the quintessential social network, you may not always feel like being social every time you log in to your account. You have the option to browse Facebook without anyone knowing you’re online, whether it’s because you don’t have the energy or the time to engage with friends.
To achieve this, turn off your “Active Status” in the Facebook mobile app or on the website. You can check your latest messages without friends jostling for your attention while you do, in the same global setting that lives in the Facebook Messenger app. To learn how it’s done, keep reading.
Disable Active Status on Facebook App.
1. In a browser, click the Messenger icon in the top-right corner of the page and then log in to Facebook.
2. Click the icon with three dots at the top of the chats window.
3. Tap Active Status.
4.To disable Active Status, toggle the switch next to it to the off position.
