Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut initiated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign in Himachal Pradesh with a grand roadshow in the Mandi constituency ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Arriving to an enthusiastic welcome from supporters and fans, Kangana was greeted with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants and pro-BJP slogans.
Asserting her connection to Mandi, Kangana declared, “Only Mandi’s own daughter will represent it,” amidst fervent cheers from the crowd. Addressing the public rally, she emphasized her familial bond with the people, stating, “Don’t think of Kangana as a heroine or a star. Consider Kangana as your sister, your daughter. Everyone here is my family.”
Kangana’s roadshow marked the beginning of BJP’s campaign in Himachal Pradesh, with her candidacy for the Mandi constituency symbolizing a significant move in the political landscape of the region. The overwhelming support from the masses underlined Kangana’s growing influence and appeal beyond the realm of cinema.
