Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut has recently shown her support for her ‘Manikarnika’ co-star Ankita Lokhande, who is currently a contestant in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss. Kangana took to social media to defend Ankita and her family against media narratives.

Kangana expressed her support on Instagram, urging the media to refrain from negative portrayal of Ankita’s in-laws. Highlighting the struggles Ankita faced post her breakup with Shushant Singh Rajput, including a house fire and emotional turmoil, Kangana emphasized how Ankita’s now-husband, Vicky Jain, stood by her. She pointed out the cultural shock Ankita’s relationship caused in Vicky’s traditional family.
Defense of Traditional Values
In her Twitter post, Kangana also took a stand for Vicky Jain’s mother, underscoring the importance of traditional values and lifestyles in small-town families. She contrasted this with the ‘filmi’ environment, known for its more liberal and sometimes sensational approach to relationships and marriage. Kangana defended Vicky’s mother’s conservative viewpoint, emphasizing her dedication to her family and traditional Indian customs.
A Plea for Compassion and Understanding
Kangana urged for compassion and understanding towards the older generation’s way of life. She highlighted the success and stability often found in traditional marriages and households, suggesting that these values should be respected and considered, especially by the urban population.
Kangana’s advocacy for Ankita Lokhande in Bigg Boss and her defense of traditional values has sparked a conversation about cultural differences and respect for varying lifestyles in India.
