Lalu Prasad Yadav, a prominent figure in Bihar’s political landscape, expressed heartfelt felicitations to the citizens of Bihar upon the successful passage of the Reservation Amendment Bill in the Bihar Assembly.
He highlighted the significant increase in reservation quotas, emphasizing that the scope for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Most Backward Classes in Bihar has been amplified from 50% to 65%. The additional inclusion of reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) has led to an overall total reservation of 75% in Bihar.
This legislative advancement in increasing reservation quotas symbolizes a significant step towards creating more inclusive opportunities and supporting marginalized sections of society within Bihar. Lalu Prasad Yadav, acknowledging this positive move, celebrated the state’s commitment to broadening access to opportunities for various social segments through the revised reservation policies.
