Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma conveyed his heartfelt condolences upon the passing of Chief Conservator of Forest, N Luikam, expressing deep sorrow at the loss. In a statement, he remarked, “Sad to bid farewell to IFS officer (L) N Luikam, who passed away this morning. My deepest condolences to his family, well-wishers, & friends.”
Sangma lauded Luikam’s commitment and sincerity in serving the state of Meghalaya as Chief Conservator of Forest. He remarked, “As Chief Conservator of Forest, he served the State of Meghalaya with utmost dedication and sincerity.” The Chief Minister acknowledged Luikam’s contributions to the Department of Forest and Environment, emphasizing the profound impact of his untimely demise.
The loss of N Luikam is not only mourned by his family but also deeply felt by the entire Department of Forest and Environment. Sangma offered his prayers, stating, “His untimely demise is not just a loss for his family, but also for the entire Department of Forest and Environment. May Almighty grant him eternal peace.”
The passing of Chief Conservator of Forest N Luikam is a poignant moment for Meghalaya, marking the departure of a dedicated public servant. As the state grieves the loss, Conrad K Sangma’s words reflect the sentiment of respect and appreciation for Luikam’s service and the legacy he leaves behind.
