Meghalaya: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma unveiled a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing education in the state. Five schools in East Garo Hills have been upgraded with 7KW of solar power each, enabling the implementation of smart classrooms.
Meghalaya CM Sangma expressed delight at the initiative, highlighting the rapid installation process facilitated by local youth. These individuals, trained by the Global Himalayan Expedition, successfully installed 35 KW of solar power lines in less than two weeks, showcasing their dedication and skill.
Furthermore, CM Sangma reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting organizations and institutions dedicated to serving society. He emphasized the alignment of such initiatives with the vision of the government, which prioritizes inclusive development and empowerment at the grassroots level.
The collaboration between government authorities, local youth, and organizations exemplifies the spirit of community engagement and collective action. As Meghalaya continues on its path towards progress and development, initiatives like these play a pivotal role in fostering socio-economic growth and empowering future generations.
