The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg witnessed a spectacle of cricketing excellence during the third and final match of the T20 series between South Africa and India on December 14. The Indian team displayed an outstanding performance, setting a formidable target of 202 runs for South Africa and eventually sealing victory by a commanding 106-run margin. Amidst the outstanding collective effort, one individual shone brightly in the field – fast bowler Mohammed Siraj.

While Mohammed Siraj’s bowling had already made an impact, it was his exceptional fielding skills that stole the spotlight. During the fourth over of South Africa’s innings, bowled by Arshdeep Singh, Reeza Hendricks attempted a clever single by playing a shot towards mid-on. However, Siraj exhibited remarkable agility, swiftly getting hold of the ball and delivering a pinpoint throw to the non-striker’s end. The direct hit resulted in the run-out of Hendricks, who managed only 8 runs.

Mohammed Siraj’s crucial contribution to the field did not go unnoticed. His stunning run-out played a pivotal role in turning the tide in India’s favor.
