In a significant boost to the state’s development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a series of transformative projects in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. With a cumulative investment of approximately Rs 7,000 crore, these initiatives span across various sectors, promising to reshape the socio-economic landscape of the region.
Addressing a gathering on this momentous occasion, Prime Minister Modi commenced by paying homage to the birth anniversaries of two iconic leaders, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. He acknowledged the nationwide cleanliness campaign held on October 1st, underscoring its transformation into a mass movement. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the citizens for embracing this endeavor wholeheartedly.
“Highlighting the principles championed by Mahatma Gandhi, such as cleanliness, self-reliance, and competitive development, PM Modi emphasized their embodiment in the various development projects undertaken in the last nine years, collectively valued at over Rs 7,000 crore”.
One of the standout initiatives unveiled by the Prime Minister is the Mehsana – Bhatinda – Gurdaspur Gas Pipeline, which is set to bolster the gas-based economy and industrial growth in Rajasthan. Specifically, the Pali-Hanumangarh section of this gas pipeline was dedicated today, expected to fuel industry and employment opportunities in the state. Additionally, this development is poised to facilitate the expansion of piped gas for household use, enhancing convenience and environmental sustainability.
Prime Minister Modi also touched upon the railway and road projects, emphasizing their significance in enhancing connectivity and creating employment opportunities in the Mewar region. Furthermore, he noted that the completion of the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Kota would strengthen the city’s reputation as an educational hub.
Rajasthan, with its rich history, vibrant present, and promising future, holds immense potential for growth. PM Modi highlighted the tourism facilities at Nathdwara and their integration into the tourist circuit, benefiting not only Rajasthan but also the broader tourism industry.
“Referring to the Sawariya Seth Temple near Chittorgarh, dedicated to Lord Krishna, the Prime Minister underscored its spiritual significance and its role as a hub for business owners. The temple has received modern facilities under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, including a water-laser show, a tourist facility center, an amphitheater, and a cafeteria, enhancing the experience for pilgrims”.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the Government of India’s commitment to the development of Rajasthan, emphasizing the focus on modern infrastructure, including expressways, highways, and railways. He also mentioned Rajasthan’s significant role in flagship projects such as the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat train.
“Drawing parallels between Rajasthan’s history and the nation’s development journey, PM Modi emphasized the focus on inclusive growth, ensuring the welfare of all sections of society. He highlighted initiatives like the Aspirational District Program, which is contributing to the development of districts in Rajasthan’s Mewar region. Additionally, he announced the central government’s commitment to identifying aspiring blocks for rapid development, extending the campaign’s benefits further”.
