In response to the unfolding crisis in Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi demonstrated swift and decisive action by engaging in a telephone conversation with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday. The conversation aimed at obtaining crucial updates on the ongoing Rescue operation in the state.
The Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of the relief and rescue operations, emphasizing the collaborative efforts involving central agencies, international experts, and the state administration. The coordinated response, described as being conducted “on a war footing,” underscores the urgency and dedication with which the authorities are addressing the situation.
Chief Minister Dhami, in a statement on X, conveyed the pertinent information shared during the conversation. The Prime Minister was informed about the arrangements being made to ensure the well-being of workers involved in the rescue operation. This included the provision of a team of doctors, ambulance services, heli assistance, and the establishment of a temporary hospital to cater to the medical needs of those affected.
Additionally, instructions were issued to doctors at AIIMS Rishikesh to be on standby for any emergency situations that may arise during the rescue operations. The directive reflects a proactive approach to medical preparedness, ensuring that immediate medical attention is available for those in need.
