The political landscape in the Indian state of Rajasthan is set to witness a significant transformation as the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023 approaches. Scheduled to be held for all 200 seats of the Sixteenth Assembly, the elections mark a crucial moment in the state’s democratic journey. The voting process is set to conclude on November 25, 2023, with the eagerly anticipated results to be declared on December 3, ushering in the formation of a new government in December 2023.
Background:
The fifteenth Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan is on the verge of completing its tenure, with the current term set to conclude on January 14, 2024. The previous assembly elections took place in December 2018, resulting in the formation of a Congress-led government, with Ashok Gehlot assuming the role of Chief Minister.
As the political landscape evolves, the upcoming elections offer the electorate an opportunity to express their preferences and shape the future course of governance in Rajasthan.

In a press seminar organized by the Election Commission of India at Rang Bhawan Auditorium, Akashvani, Delhi, on October 9, 2023, Chief Election Commissioner of India, Mr. Rajeev Kumar, unveiled the schedule for the assembly general elections across five states, including Rajasthan. According to the announcement, Rajasthan’s elections for all 200 assembly seats will be conducted in a single phase on November 23, 2023. The much-anticipated results of this electoral exercise are set to be officially declared on December 3, 2023.
