Rajasthan Election 2023: BJP Surges Ahead with Early Trends, Congress Faces Uphill Battle

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

According to the initial trends in the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023, the BJP is taking the lead on more than 100 seats, while the Congress is encountering challenges, holding onto 72 seats, and making gradual progress. Notably, Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are leading in the Sardarpura and Tonk seats, respectively. Election Commission data indicates that BJP senior leader and former CM Vasundhara Raje is leading in the Jhalrapatan Assembly seat.

After months of an intense election campaign marked by a paper leak scandal, a divided ruling party, internal conflicts, and frequent exchanges of barbs, all eyes are on December 3 for the much-anticipated declaration of the Rajasthan Election Result 2023 by the Election Commission.

The exit poll results on November 30 failed to predict a decisive majority for either the Congress or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), underscoring a closely contested battle between the two prominent political parties. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Congress leader Sachin Pilot, and former Chief Minister BJP stalwart Vasundhara Raje are all engaged in a fierce electoral showdown.
