In a significant development, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his third release of 2023, Dunki, which has already amassed ₹1.24 crore in bookings. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, is generating substantial interest as it heads towards its opening day.
The initial pre-sale of Dunki has been notably strong, with a total of 33,770 tickets sold across 2,836 Hindi shows. The success of the next few days is pivotal in determining the film’s opening day performance, particularly as it faces competition from Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel expressed optimism, stating, “Dunki’s initial pre-sale starts on a remarkable note. The film has sold over 10,000 tickets at national chain multiplexes, with non-national chains also showing promising movement. If this momentum continues, Dunki could challenge the top films of 2023 in terms of final Advance bookings. The next three days will provide a clearer picture.”
