The Startup20 Shikhar Summit, organized by the Startup20 Engagement Group under the India G20 Presidency, commenced in Gurugram today. This two-day event signifies a momentous achievement, commemorating the successful completion of Startup20’s first year and the unveiling of the final Policy Communiqué. During the inauguration ceremony, prominent figures such as Shri Som Prakash, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa, and Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Chair of Startup20, shared their perspectives on the summit’s significance.
Som Prakash expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its role in nurturing a vibrant startup ecosystem in India. He emphasized India’s commitment to providing an enabling environment for startups and solidifying its position as a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Chintan Vaishnav highlighted the importance of Brazil’s decision to continue its participation in the Startup20 Engagement Group in 2024.
