Stock Market Update
- The Indian stock market opened on March 3 with the Nifty index trading around 17,450.
- By 09:16 IST, the Sensex index had risen by 373.34 points or 0.63% to reach 59,282.69.
- The Nifty had also gone up by 120.10 points or 0.69% to reach 17,442.
- Out of the total number of shares traded, 1373 shares advanced, 452 shares declined, and 93 shares remained unchanged.
- Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, SBI, Tata Steel, and L&T were the major gainers on the Nifty index.
- Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Sun Pharma, HDFC Life, and ICICI Bank were the major losers on the Nifty index.
- The S&P BSE Sensex had a positive start to the day, opening at 59,241.20 and surging upwards to reach a high of 59,700.21.
- As of 11:06 am on March 3, 2023, the index was trading at 59,646.24, which represents an increase of 736.89 points or 1.25% from its previous close. Investors are closely monitoring the market for any further developments, as the low for the day so far has been 59,231.58.
