In a moment of triumph amid adversity, Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, shared his elation over the successful rescue of 41 trapped laborers in the Silkyara Tunnel Collapse. Gadkari expressed his sentiments, highlighting the collaborative and tireless efforts that led to the favorable outcome.
A Well-Coordinated Effort:
“Gadkari commented that this represented a highly organized collaboration involving several agencies, signifying one of the most noteworthy rescue missions in recent years. Despite encountering numerous challenges, various departments and agencies worked in tandem, complementing each other’s efforts. The success of the operation stands as a testament to the collective dedication and efficiency of the teams involved.
Tireless and Sincere Efforts:
Gadkari attributed the success to the “tireless and sincere efforts by everyone, coupled with prayers from all.” The challenging circumstances did not deter the rescue teams, and their dedication resulted in the safe rescue of all 41 individuals trapped in the tunnel collapse.

Expressing gratitude, Gadkari extended his thanks to every agency and individual involved in the rescue operation. He specifically acknowledged the contribution of international rescue experts, administrative officers, and the Uttarakhand government for their swift and effective response.

Gadkari took the opportunity to thank the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his constant monitoring of the entire operation. He praised the leadership and support provided by Chief Minister Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami and his colleague General Vijay Kumar Singh, who actively participated in overseeing the operation on the ground.
