1. Harmanpreet Kaur Scripts History By Becoming Highest Capped Player In T20:

Indian Women’s Cricket Captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the most capped player in the T20I cricketing history for Women, making history in the process. In the third T20 match against the Australian team in Mumbai on December 14, Kaur achieved the feat of being one of India’s most successful batters. On Wednesday, Kaur played her 140th T20 international match.

2. Jyothi Chauhan and Soumya Guguloth Selected For European Football:-

This year, two Indian football players proved their mettle and earned a spot in a European football team, in a country where men’s football is barely credited. Soumya Guguloth, 21, and Jyoti Chouhan, 23, entered the Women In Sports tryouts in Kolkata and participated in one of the most significant trials in their careers, where five internationally acclaimed coaches were recruiting players for their clubs.

3. PT Usha becomes IOA President:-

This month, PT Usha, one of India’s most successful athletes ever, was elected president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Usha, who is 58 years old, became the first women president of the IOA. Her election to the prestigious title went unopposed, paving the way for more women to rise to leadership positions in sporting authorities and institutions.

4. Jyothi Yarraji Breaks National Record:-

Jothi Yarraji, 23, from Andhra Pradesh became the first Indian woman to complete the 100 meters hurdles race within the 13-second window at the 61st National Open Athletics Championship. Yarraji broke her own record and is now the fastest hurdler in India, clocking a timing of 12.82s.

5. Women’s Asia cup:-

The 2022 Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup was the eighth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup tournament that took place from 1 to 15 October 2022 in Sylhet, Bangladesh. The tournament was contested by Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.

The schedule of the tournament was announced by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on 20 September 2022.

The defending champion Bangladesh defeated India by three wickets in the final of the 2018 tournament to win the title for the first time. The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium was the location of the tournament.

A round-robin stage was played by seven teams, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals.
