Union Minister Bhupender Yadav Inaugurated the ESIC Sub-Regional Office in Alwar

Alwar: Union Minister Bhupender Yadav unveiled the opening of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Sub-Regional Office in Alwar, Rajasthan. The ceremony underscored the government’s dedication to improving healthcare and social security for workers through the ESI Scheme.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Bhupender Yadav highlighted the government’s efforts to enhance worker and employer-friendly measures, including the introduction of chemotherapy and dialysis services in ESI hospitals. He applauded ESIC for receiving the prestigious “ISSA Vision Zero 2023” award, reaffirming the government’s commitment to developing a robust healthcare and social security system for all workers.

Minister of State for Forest, Environment & Climate Change and Science & Technology Department, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Sanjay Sharma, expressed gratitude for the opening of the Sub-Regional Office in Alwar, emphasizing its positive impact on workers and employers in the region.

Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General of ESIC, highlighted recent initiatives such as the 5G ambulance service, AAA+ Mobile App, and home-based healthcare services, demonstrating ESIC’s commitment to improving accessibility and quality of healthcare for insured persons.

The establishment of the ESIC Sub-Regional Office in Alwar will cater to the needs of approximately 24,500 employers and 12 lakh beneficiaries across five districts, including Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Bharatpur, and Deeg.

The Employees’ State Insurance Scheme, initially implemented in Rajasthan in 1956, has expanded to cover all 50 districts of the state, benefitting around 15 lakh insured workers and 58 lakh beneficiaries. ESIC continues to provide comprehensive social security benefits, including medical care and cash benefits, to over 3.43 crore family units of workers nationwide.

The inauguration of the ESIC Sub-Regional Office signifies the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing social security and healthcare services for workers, advancing the welfare and prosperity of the nation’s workforce.
