Uttarkashi: In a critical moment of crisis, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami demonstrated decisive leadership by personally visiting Silkyara this morning to oversee the ongoing rescue operation in the tunnel where workers are trapped. Conducting an on-site inspection, he provided valuable updates on the progress and reassured the public about the well-being of the workers.
Progress Update:
During his visit, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami informed the media that the rescue team had successfully pushed the pipe up to 52 meters into the tunnel, bringing them within 5 meters of the target. This milestone indicates significant headway in the mission to extricate the trapped workers from the challenging circumstances within the tunnel.
Concern for Worker Well-being:
Expressing genuine concern for the workers’ health and safety, CM Dhami personally inquired about their well-being during the on-site inspection. He instructed medical professionals to maintain constant communication with the trapped workers, ensuring that their physical and mental well-being remains a top priority throughout the rescue operation.
Collaborative Efforts:
Acknowledging the collaborative nature of the rescue operation, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami lauded the dedicated efforts of central agencies, the army, international experts, and the state administration. The combined expertise and tireless commitment of these teams reflect a unified approach to resolving the crisis and bringing the trapped workers to safety.
Reassurance to the Public:
Dispelling concerns, CM Dhami assured the public that all the workers trapped in the tunnel were in good health. The comprehensive efforts of the rescue teams, backed by the coordination of various agencies, instill confidence that the workers, referred to as “Shramik Bandhu,” will soon be reunited with their families.
