Taking to Instagram, Vicky Kaushal shared a photo of Sam Manekshaw, fondly known as Sam Bahadur, expressing his reverence for the legendary Field Marshal.
About “Sam Bahadur”:
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, “Sam Bahadur” offers a comprehensive portrayal of Sam Manekshaw’s life journey, from his childhood to his retirement from the military. It highlights his pivotal role as Chief of the Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war.
A National Hero:
Manekshaw, revered as a national hero, participated in five major wars, with his leadership during the 1971 war being particularly noteworthy. He holds the distinction of being the first Indian Army officer promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
