Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma extended warm birthday wishes to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Expressing his regards, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “I pray to Mother Kamakhya and Shrimant Sankardev for your good health and a long and prosperous life.”
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, born on March 5, 1959, is a prominent Indian politician known for his dedicated service to the nation and the BJP. He served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from 2005 to 2018 and again from 2020 to 2023, making him the longest-serving Chief Minister of the state.
Shivraj Singh’s political journey is marked by his significant contributions to the BJP, serving as the former National Vice President and holding key positions in the party’s organizational structure. His leadership roles include serving as the President of the Madhya Pradesh state unit and leading the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
Throughout his tenure, Shivraj Singh spearheaded various welfare initiatives aimed at uplifting the underprivileged, including schemes such as providing rice at Rs 1 per kg, maternity assistance under the Sambal scheme, free education for impoverished girls, and the Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Beti Bachao Abhiyan.
These welfare measures, introduced by Shivraj Singh, played a pivotal role in the BJP’s electoral victories in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections of 2008, 2013, and 2023. His commitment to serving the people and his visionary leadership have earned him admiration across party lines.
