In recent times, a fraudulent website has surfaced, claiming to facilitate tractor subsidies for farmers under the Ministry of Agriculture’s ‘PM Kisan Tractor Yojana.’ This deceptive platform has been identified as a scam by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), prompting an urgent warning to farmers and the public.
The misleading website falsely asserts to be an official channel through which farmers can apply for and avail of tractor subsidies provided by the government. The ‘PM Kisan Tractor Yojana’ is a non-existent initiative, and the website in question is not affiliated with any legitimate government program.
PIB, in its fact-checking initiative, has clarified that this website is entirely deceptive and should not be trusted. Farmers are strongly advised to exercise caution and verify information from official government sources before engaging with any online platform claiming to provide agricultural subsidies or benefits.
The Ministry of Agriculture and related authorities have emphasized that any official announcements or schemes will be communicated through authorized government channels. The proliferation of such fraudulent websites underscores the importance of staying vigilant in the digital age, where scams and misinformation can easily proliferate.
