In a recent development, a spurious order purportedly issued in the name of the Election Commission of India (ECI) has been making rounds, disseminating false claims regarding the rules for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024. However, a thorough investigation by PIB Fact Check has confirmed that the circulated order is entirely fabricated.
The fraudulent order contains misleading information concerning the guidelines and regulations set forth by the ECI for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election. Despite its official appearance, the ECI has categorically stated that no such letter has been issued by their office.
In response to the circulation of this false document, PIB Fact Check has taken swift action to debunk the misinformation. Through diligent fact-checking procedures, they have verified the authenticity of the order and affirmed that it holds no legitimacy.
Furthermore, the Election Commission of India has reiterated that they have not issued any directives or guidelines through the purported order. They urge the public to remain vigilant against such deceptive practices and to rely solely on official communications from recognized sources.
