Bollywood’s queen, Kangana Ranaut, recently made her return to the big screen with ‘Chandramukhi 2’. Expectations were high for this film, given Kangana’s stature in the industry. However, the movie is struggling to make a mark at the box office.
Released on September 28, ‘Chandramukhi 2’ faced tough competition from ‘Fukrey 3’ and ‘The Vaccine War.’ Unfortunately, it seems that ‘Fukrey 3’ has taken the lead in the box office race. ‘Chandramukhi 2’ earned 8.25 crores on its opening day, with 17 lakhs in Hindi, 5.58 crores in Tamil, and 2.5 crores in Telugu.
On the second day, the film’s collection dropped significantly, managing only 4.50 crores. This brings the total collection to 12.75 crores. The film is now hoping for a better weekend to boost its box office numbers.
‘Chandramukhi 2’ is a sequel to the original ‘Chandramukhi,’ which featured Rajinikanth and Jyotika in lead roles. In the sequel, Kangana Ranaut stars alongside Raghav Lawrence.
While ‘Chandramukhi 2’ struggles at the box office, Kangana Ranaut has other projects in the pipeline. She will soon be seen in ‘Tejas,’ where she plays the role of an Air Force officer. Additionally, Kangana has directed the film ‘Emergency,’ which is also in the works.
