Ayodhya: In a significant development for the holy city of Ayodhya, Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, virtually inaugurated 8 new flight routes to enhance air connectivity. The inauguration, attended by Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath and Minister Gen (Dr) V.K. Singh (Retd.), aims to facilitate the influx of pilgrims to the sacred city.

The new flight routes will connect Ayodhya with major cities including Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. This strategic initiative is a response to the surging demand following the PranPratishtha ceremony at Ram Temple, elevating Ayodhya’s tourism potential and paving the way for economic and social development.

During the inauguration, Shri Scindia emphasized Ayodhya’s significance as a spiritual destination, stating, “Ayodhya is not an ordinary destination. The faith and the reverence of the devotees of Bhagwan Ram from every corner of the world are connected with it.” He highlighted that the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhyadham has been designed to reflect the city’s culture, incorporating artwork depicting stories from the Ramayana.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the operational airports in Uttar Pradesh have doubled from five to ten. Shri Scindia announced plans for five more operational airports, bringing the total to 16 by the year-end, including the world-class Jewar Greenfield Airport. He assured comprehensive airline coverage for Ayodhya, emphasizing the city’s importance as a spiritual and cultural hub.
