In a significant stride towards enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has forged a strategic partnership with the upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA) to establish a dedicated Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) pipeline.
The agreement, signed between BPCL and NIAL (Noida International Airport Limited), outlines the construction of a state-of-the-art ATF pipeline stretching 34 kilometers from BPCL’s Piyala Terminal to the tank farm within NIA premises. A notable feature of this pipeline project is a 1.2-kilometer section situated within the airport’s vicinity, facilitating seamless and efficient fuel transportation directly to the airport.
This initiative holds paramount significance in ensuring a steady and reliable supply of ATF to cater to the operational requirements of Noida International Airport. By establishing a dedicated pipeline infrastructure, BPCL aims to bolster the airport’s operational readiness while significantly reducing logistical complexities associated with fuel procurement.
The integration of this ATF pipeline underscores BPCL’s commitment to fostering sustainable solutions in the aviation sector. Not only does it streamline fuel transportation, but it also minimizes the environmental footprint by optimizing logistical processes and reducing vehicular movements associated with fuel delivery.
Furthermore, the collaboration between BPCL and NIAL aligns with the broader vision of enhancing India’s aviation infrastructure and promoting eco-friendly practices within the industry. As Noida International Airport gears up to become a prominent aviation hub, such strategic partnerships play a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for efficient and sustainable operations.
The establishment of the dedicated ATF pipeline marks a significant milestone in the journey towards operationalizing Noida International Airport.
