This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to empowering women and enhancing their security.
Women Beat Constables Taking Action
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a crucial development as part of the fourth phase of Mission Shakti. Starting from the first day of Shardiya Navratri, women beat constables will visit villages to raise awareness among women and girls about their safety and rights. Furthermore, stringent action will be taken against anyone who compromises the security of sisters and daughters. The Chief Minister emphasized that hooligans should be dealt with firmly by women constables.

Yogi Adityanath highlighted the substantial contributions made by women, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. He acknowledged the critical roles played by ANM, Asha workers, and Anganwadi workers in villages. These women were instrumental in providing essential services and support to communities.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the safety of women in the state. Notably, efforts are being made to ensure that 20 percent of UP Police recruits are women. The number of women police officers has significantly increased, and their role extends beyond arresting suspects in women-related crimes to actively advocating for the prosecution and punishment of offenders.
Positive Impact on Crime Rates
Yogi Adityanath cited data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), demonstrating a decline in crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh. The state has shown remarkable progress in prosecuting offenders, leading to convictions in cases involving crimes against women.
The Chief Minister highlighted various initiatives to empower women in the state, including the Mission Shakti Abhiyan, which has received support from the Central Government. The BC Sakhi and Banking Correspondent Sakhi programs are bridging gaps in rural banking services and providing employment opportunities to women. Moreover, women’s participation in Balinese milk production serves as a symbol of empowerment.
A Symbol of Strength
HCL CEO Roshni Nadar commended the strength of Uttar Pradesh and its women. She shared the story of her father, Shiv Nadar, who laid the foundation of HCL, a leading company in the state. Roshni Nadar proudly stated that 29 percent of the company’s employees are women.
Padmashree Hema Prabha Sotia emphasized the importance of dedication and devotion in all endeavors, irrespective of their scale. She encouraged individuals to pursue their work with sincerity and commitment, affirming that success comes through dedication and the grace of God.

ISRO scientist Dr. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, who played a pivotal role in the success of Mission Chandrayaan-3, shared her inspiring journey and the story of India’s achievements in space exploration. She highlighted the importance of working in “mission mode” and noted that the Mission Shakti-IV campaign appears to be following a similar path of determination and success.
