CM Yogi Honors Mahatma Gandhi on Death Anniversary in ‘Tribute to Martyrs’ Program

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath observed the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with reverence and gratitude. In the ‘Tribute to Martyrs’ program at Lucknow’s Martyrs’ Memorial, CM Yogi paid homage to the ‘Father of the Nation’ by laying floral tributes on his portrait. He actively participated in a bhajan evening, fostering a spiritual atmosphere.

CM Yogi, reflecting on the occasion, stated, “On this day, the death anniversary of the ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhiji, in the ‘Tribute to Martyrs’ program at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Lucknow, we paid tribute to Pujya Bapu by paying floral tributes on his portrait and participated in the bhajan evening.”

Furthermore, he emphasized the significance of honoring the immortal martyrs of the freedom struggle. “On this occasion, by lighting a lamp in memory of the immortal martyrs, known and unknown, who were martyred in the freedom struggle, we paid tribute to their bravery, struggle, and dedication,” CM Yogi remarked.

The commemorative event not only paid respects to Mahatma Gandhi but also highlighted the sacrifice, bravery, and dedication of all those who contributed to India’s independence. The lighting of the lamp served as a symbolic gesture to honor the memory of both renowned and unsung heroes of the freedom movement, fostering a spirit of remembrance and gratitude.
