UP Police Recruitment: The long-awaited and historic recruitment drive for constables in Uttar Pradesh is on the horizon as the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board prepares to unveil the process for hiring 60,244 constables in Civil Police. This initiative marks the largest direct recruitment effort in the state’s police history, with an expected release of the application process within a week.
Over the past six months, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has diligently undertaken various proceedings, ranging from selecting the executing agency for the recruitment examination to facilitating the one-time registration of candidates. After the release of the constable recruitment announcement, candidates will be provided with approximately 15 days to submit their applications online. Following the application period, a meticulous scrutiny process will take place, leading to the announcement of the written examination dates.
“Originally slated for 52,699 posts, the recruitment drive’s scope expanded to 60,244 after incorporating additional proposals from the DGP Headquarters. This surge in opportunities reflects a substantial commitment to strengthening the state police force”.
“Moreover, the state is gearing up for recruitment notices in three other cadres by the end of December. These will invite online applications for roles in the Confidential, Accounts, and Clerical cadre (921 posts), Computer Operator Grade-A (930 posts), and Computer Programmer (55 posts) within the State Police”.
In tandem, the recruitment process for over ten thousand constable posts in the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) is slated for January, aligning with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s announcement on the occasion of PAC’s foundation day. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is well-prepared for this monumental recruitment endeavor, marking a pivotal moment for the state’s law enforcement capabilities. As anticipation builds, this initiative is poised to not only address long-pending vacancies but also fortify the operational strength and efficiency of the Uttar Pradesh Police.
