In a significant boost for the sports enthusiasts of Gwalior, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, a key figure in Indian politics, has revealed details about a colossal cricket stadium project that is rapidly taking shape in the city. Expressing his enthusiasm, Scindia declared it as one of his favorite projects, highlighting its potential to become a major attraction for the youth and cricket lovers in Gwalior.
The state-of-the-art stadium, boasting a remarkable seating capacity of 50,000 spectators, is set to undergo swift installations with 30,000 chairs expected to be in place by the end of the current month. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, known for his commitment to development projects, envisions the stadium as a source of pride for Gwalior and a vibrant hub for cricket enthusiasts.
“Providing a timeline for the project, Scindia announced his ambitious goal to present the stadium for inspection by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) by December 2023. This strategic move aims to expedite the commencement of international matches, positioning Gwalior on the coveted international cricket map”.
“Speaking on the significance of the project, Scindia emphasized the positive impact it would have on the local community, offering a state-of-the-art facility for sports and recreation. The massive seating capacity indicates a commitment to accommodating large audiences and fostering a vibrant cricket culture in the region”.
