Kerala, the lush green state on the southwestern coast of India, is currently experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall, causing concern among residents and authorities. The meteorological data has revealed notable figures, shedding light on the extent of the downpour in various regions of the state.
As the rain continues to pour, some of the noteworthy rainfall statistics include:
- Neeleswaram: The region has witnessed a significant 18cm of rainfall, indicating the intensity of the ongoing weather system.
- Vellarikkundu: With 10cm of rainfall, Vellarikkundu has also been impacted by the heavy downpour.
- Kochi: The prominent city of Kochi has received 9cm of rainfall, prompting residents to take precautions and stay vigilant.
- Konni: Experiencing 9cm of rain, Konni joins the list of regions affected by the ongoing weather disturbance.
- Thodupuzha: This area has recorded 8cm of rainfall, adding to the state’s cumulative precipitation.
“Residents and authorities in Kerala are urged to stay informed about the evolving weather conditions and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of individuals and property. The heavy to very heavy rainfall serves as a reminder of the importance of being prepared and vigilant during such weather events”.
