Lok Sabha Election 2024: PM Modi Leads Massive Roadshow in Ghaziabad

On Saturday, April 6, a massive roadshow led by PM Modi will blanket the entire city of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. This event marks the launch of BJP’s campaign in western Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Ghaziabad traffic police service has issued a traffic advisory urging commuters to avoid specific routes for the day.

The roadshow route stretches from Chaudhary Mod in Gandhi Nagar, Ghaziabad, to Maliwara Chowk in Naya Ganj. PM Modi will lead the roadshow to garner support for Atul Garg, the BJP’s candidate for the Lok Sabha. An estimated crowd of over two lakh people is expected to attend. To ensure security, the Ghaziabad Police will thoroughly inspect every vehicle entering the city.

Starting at 1 pm on April 6, several routes will be closed to heavy and commercial vehicle traffic, including those between Chaudhary Mod and Lal Kuan, Atmaram Steel, and Diamond, Alt intersection includes Meerut Tiraha, Tulsi Niketan, and Karangate roundabout, as well as Jalnigam T-point and the Meerut trisection. Additionally, it encompasses Vasundhara Bridge and Mohannagar, along with Seemapuri and Mohannagar. City buses and public transportation will not face restrictions until 2:00 pm, while autos and e-rickshaws will be prohibited in various areas starting at 3:30 pm.

Private two- and four-wheel drive vehicles will not be allowed on fourteen main road segments in Ghaziabad on Saturday. Parking arrangements have been made at the Nehru Nagar Auditorium for attendees of the roadshow. Additionally, a drone-free zone has been established across most of Ghaziabad, and approximately 6,000 police officers have been deployed throughout the city to maintain order and security.
