Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has vehemently denounced Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s recent racist comment targeting the people of Northeast India, asserting the region’s deep-rooted connection to the nation.
N. Biren Singh criticized Pitroda’s divisive rhetoric, stating, “The Congress has always tried to divide India with their Divide and Rule policy. But they must know that NE has been a part of India and will always be.”
Expressing indignation over the derogatory remark, Singh emphasized the unacceptability of such mockery of India’s diversity. “Such a mockery in India’s diversity is highly unacceptable,” he declared, urging Congress and Pitroda to publicly apologize for their offensive remarks.
Pitroda’s disparaging comment has sparked widespread outrage across the Northeastern states, with leaders and citizens alike demanding accountability and respect for the region’s diverse culture and heritage.
As voices continue to unite in condemnation of discriminatory attitudes, Singh’s firm stance underscores the imperative of fostering inclusivity and mutual respect within the fabric of Indian society.
