Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 647th Birth Anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas with reverence and action in Varanasi. Inaugurating projects worth Rs 32 crores and laying the foundation for the Sant Ravidas Museum, he honored the saint’s legacy of equality and social harmony.

Addressing a diverse audience at the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali temple, PM Modi welcomed devotees to the revered birthplace, recognizing the spirit of unity and devotion. He emphasized Sant Ravidas’s teachings, which transcend the boundaries of caste and religion, fostering inclusivity and social cohesion.

PM Modi underscored the government’s commitment to uplifting the marginalized, citing initiatives like free ration distribution, the Swachh Bharat Mission, and the Jal Jeevan Mission. He highlighted the significant progress in financial inclusion, healthcare, and welfare schemes benefiting Dalits and disadvantaged communities.

Warning against divisive politics and caste-based discrimination, PM Modi reiterated the importance of selfless action and unity for national development. He urged citizens to embrace Sant Ravidas’s teachings, fostering a society free from the shackles of casteism and division.

The event witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Sant Niranjan Dass, emphasizing collective efforts in realizing Sant Guru Ravidas’s vision of a harmonious and prosperous India. PM Modi’s address resonated with the ethos of unity, equality, and selfless service, echoing Sant Ravidas’s timeless message of love and compassion.
