In a momentous event in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi inaugurated, dedicated, and laid the foundation stone for a series of development initiatives collectively worth more than Rs 34,000 crores. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi hailed the significance of hosting such programs in places like Azamgarh, signaling a shift from traditional venues like Delhi.
PM Modi emphasized Azamgarh’s transformation from a backward area to a hub of development, attributing this progress to the collective efforts of the government and local communities. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 15 airport projects across the country, totaling over Rs 9,800 crores. Notable among these are the new terminal buildings at airports in Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Delhi, and Lucknow, among others.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to timely project completion, PM Modi cited the example of the Gwalior terminal, which finished in just 16 months. He emphasized that these initiatives would enhance air travel accessibility for citizens across the country, dispelling accusations of election gimmicks and reaffirming his dedication to a developed India.
PM Modi underscored the importance of infrastructure development in transforming the region, mentioning railway projects connecting districts like Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Gazipur, and Prayagraj. Additionally, he praised the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana for its role in improving rural connectivity, with over 5,000 kilometers of roads inaugurated in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Furthermore, PM Modi addressed the concerns of sugarcane farmers, highlighting the government’s efforts to increase MSP and settle pending dues. He also emphasized initiatives in biogas and ethanol production, showcasing the government’s commitment to agricultural advancement and rural prosperity.
PM Modi expressed confidence in the transformative potential of these initiatives, stressing the importance of honest governance for unprecedented development. He commended Uttar Pradesh’s progress under the double-engine government model, positioning the state as a key player in India’s growth story.
The event in Azamgarh marks a significant milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s journey towards comprehensive development, with PM Modi’s leadership driving progress across various sectors. As the state continues to prioritize infrastructure, agriculture, and rural development, it emerges as a beacon of growth and opportunity in India’s landscape.
