PM Modi Launches Ambitious Projects at Viksit Bharat Viksit Uttar Pradesh Program

Viksit Bharat Viksit Uttar Pradesh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a landmark event, the Viksit Bharat Viksit Uttar Pradesh program in Lucknow, marking a significant milestone in the state’s development journey. The event witnessed the launch of over 14,000 projects valued at more than Rs 10 lakh crores, spanning diverse sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, IT & ITeS, food processing, housing & real estate, hospitality and entertainment, and education, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi hailed the event as a crucial step towards the realization of Viksit Bharat through the transformative development of Uttar Pradesh. He welcomed the participation of lakhs of citizens from over 400 constituencies across the state via video conferencing, emphasizing the role of technology in fostering greater citizen engagement.

“Reflecting on Uttar Pradesh’s remarkable progress, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the state’s transition from a legacy of high crime rates to a conducive environment for investments and employment opportunities. He praised the state’s resilience and positive outlook, citing significant investments pouring into Uttar Pradesh, which has witnessed a transformative change under the double-engine government”.

Prime Minister Modi underscored the shift towards a ‘red carpet culture’ from a ‘red tape culture’ in Uttar Pradesh over the past seven years, leading to a significant reduction in crime rates and a flourishing business ecosystem. He lauded the state’s achievements in export growth, electricity generation, and infrastructure development, including the expansion of expressways and the establishment of international airports.

“Highlighting the government’s commitment to social justice and economic empowerment, Prime Minister Modi outlined various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens, including the PM Awas Yojana, income tax reforms, and the PM SVANidhi scheme for street vendors. He reiterated the government’s focus on enhancing Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business, ensuring the benefits of development reach every section of society”.

PM Modi emphasized the importance of supporting small-scale industries and promoting indigenous products under schemes like One District One Product and PM Vishwakarma Scheme. He also championed the revival of India’s traditional industries, such as the promotion of wooden toys from Varanasi, and stressed the need for investments in sectors like electric mobility and green energy.

The Prime Minister lauded the unprecedented opportunities emerging in Uttar Pradesh’s tourism sector, driven by improved connectivity and infrastructure development. He highlighted the state’s potential to become India’s largest tourism hub, offering significant prospects for small entrepreneurs and the rural economy.

PM Modi reiterated the government’s vision of making India a global leader in technology and manufacturing, emphasizing the importance of solar energy and electric vehicles. He announced the PM Suryaghar scheme, aimed at providing free electricity to households and promoting solar power generation.
