The 7th convocation of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh in Dharamshala witnessed an esteemed presence as Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, graced the occasion with her enlightening address.
In her speech, the President highlighted the rapid pace of change in the modern world, particularly with the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution. She emphasized the emergence of new fields like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, stressing the need for agility and continuous learning to keep pace with evolving technology.
Smt. Droupadi Murmu underscored the importance of fostering flexible minds among the youth to adapt to the dynamic landscape of the 21st century. She urged educators to focus not only on imparting knowledge but also on instilling self-reliance, character, and awareness of culture and tradition among students.
Addressing the teachers, the President acknowledged their pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation. She emphasized the responsibility of educators to go beyond traditional teaching methods and nurture students’ curiosity and desire to learn independently.
Furthermore, Smt. Droupadi Murmu imparted valuable advice to the students, urging them to uphold human values ​​such as compassion and conscientiousness. She encouraged them to embrace challenges with resilience and always choose the path of righteousness, emphasizing that these values ​​are essential for leading a successful and meaningful life.
Highlighting the immense potential of the youth, the President called upon them to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation. She emphasized that contributing to the nation’s development is not only a moral duty but also a responsibility as citizens.
The address by Smt. Droupadi Murmu at the convocation resonated with the audience, inspiring students, teachers, and guests alike to strive for excellence, uphold values, and contribute to the progress of the nation.
