Raebareli: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has announced the invitation for bids to construct apron and taxiway edge lights at Fursatganj Airfield in Raebareli. This development initiative forms part of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), which aims to boost air connectivity in Uttar Pradesh.
Fursatganj Airfield, situated in Raebareli, is set to undergo significant upgrades to facilitate smoother operations and enhanced safety measures. The construction of apron and taxiway edge lights is a crucial component of this development, ensuring efficient aircraft maneuvering and navigation during low visibility conditions.
Under the RCS initiative, several airports in Uttar Pradesh have been developed and made operational, contributing to the state’s growing aviation infrastructure. These efforts aim to promote regional connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and facilitate travel and tourism across the region.
The completion timeline for the construction of the apron and taxiway edge lights at Fursatganj Airfield is estimated to be within 60 days from the date of award. Once completed, the upgraded facilities will further bolster the capabilities of the airfield, enhancing its attractiveness for airlines and passengers alike.
The invitation for bids marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to modernize and expand aviation infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh.
