Ram Temple Inauguration: Union Minister Jitendra Singh revealed on Thursday that all central government offices will observe a half-day closure on January 22, coinciding with the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya. The decision, prompted by widespread sentiments, is aimed at allowing employees to participate in the celebrations. The closure extends to central institutions and industrial establishments throughout India until 2:30 pm on January 22, 2024.

The official order, addressed to all central government ministries and departments, outlines the significance of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha celebrations and emphasizes the collective observance across the nation.

The pran-pratishtha ceremony, scheduled for 12:30 pm on January 22, will witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various dignitaries participating in the event. Commencing on January 16, a week before the ceremony, specific rituals are being diligently performed each day as part of the pre-consecration preparations.

In a notable gesture, PM Modi released commemorative postage stamps on Thursday, illustrating the historical moments surrounding the opening of the Ram Temple. The idol of Lord Ram arrived at the temple complex on the second day of rituals, set to undergo cleansing with water on the third day, accompanied by ‘Jaladhivas,’ ‘Ganesh Pujan,’ and ‘Varun Pujan.’

As the nation gears up for this historic occasion, the half-day closure symbolizes the collective respect and observance of the consecration of the Ram Temple, marking a significant moment in India’s cultural and religious heritage.
