Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed profound sadness upon learning about the demise of senior journalist N D Sharma. Chouhan extended heartfelt condolences to Sharma’s family and colleagues, acknowledging his significant contributions to journalism over the years.
In a statement, Chouhan said, “I am extremely saddened to hear the news of the demise of senior journalist N D Sharma. His dedication and commitment to his profession have left an indelible mark on the field of journalism. My condolences go out to his family during this challenging period.”
Furthermore, Chouhan prayed for peace for the departed soul, expressing hope that Sharma found solace at the holy feet of God. He also wished for strength and resilience for Sharma’s family members to cope with the profound grief of losing a loved one.
Sharma, aged 82, passed away after suffering a brain hemorrhage, as confirmed by his daughter. He had a distinguished career, having worked with the Indian Express for two decades across various states before retiring in Bhopal. Sharma leaves behind his wife, son, and daughter.
The passing of N D Sharma is a loss not only to the journalism fraternity but also to the community he served diligently throughout his career. His dedication to truth and integrity will be remembered fondly, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of journalists.
